Daily Deviation

Given 2011-05-11
The suggester says, "Deadly Art of Science by ~swegener is a 'simple setting' that doesn't seem uncommon, but the sheer detail and work put into it, especially the news paper appears flawless. The entire drawing also looks very realistic to something we'd see, while having it's own story in it." ( Suggested by WorldWar-Tori and Featured by kangel )

Love the level of detail. :) It's not something you notice at first, but the more you look at this piece, the more you appreciate it.

Personally, I think the cup of coffee is a nice touch.

"Says Robot, 'I wear pants because it's the law.'" For some reason, that made me laugh. :D

He likes messing around with computers and has an interest in robotics. He's also into hydroponics, which is gardening without soil. Though, to be honest, I think he belongs in the government!

I work for myself. :)

But now I'm just splitting hairs.

Lets say that we (Brian and me) work *with* Red5.

Maybe he do, maybe he don't.
I don't really am one to compare stuff like that, I don't live in America where those comic books and the companies behind them are prominent. Sorry.

Oh you didn't know, Haha!

yes I have worked on 4 Marvel books. But making Atomic Robo is what I love doing the most.

I'm just saying this pic is from his comic, Atomic Robo, which is published by Red 5 Comics.

I just thought it was funny that you basically said "You draw as well as a professional comic artist", when he is a professional comic artist.

Was it you or Brian that did the newspaper words?
Reply
:iconswegener:
swegener Featured By Owner May 15, 2011  Professional Artist
Brian had to write all the articles but it was Jeff Powell who actually found the fonts and put them into the image.

The un-cropped articles will appear in the Vol.5 TPB.

It was a real pain in the ass for Brian. Which totally made my day since it's usually me getting saddled with days of work based on three words he added to a page as an after-thought. LOL
